Job Title: Software Dev Engineer II
Location: Seattle, WA
Duration: 6 months with potential extension or conversion
 
Job Description:
Client is looking for a full-stack engineer/SDE to join the WorldWide Sustainability group. You will be working on a custom website building a new eCommerce experience leveraging React/JS, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, Java and some AWS technologies. You will be working with a great team that builds and ships quality software.
 
Primary responsibilities
  • Build/Code REST services built on top of AWS technologies
  • Build simple FE components based on mock-ups integrating with the REST APIs
  • Build reusable components and maintaining workflows responsible for input collection for different businesses as well as the external API
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, other engineers, and researchers to build end-to-end solution
  • Work independently to deliver components/interfaces and software features
 
Job Qualifications:
  • A proven portfolio demonstrating the above skills
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes and testing
  • Expert with one of the modern programming languages, preferably object-oriented (Java, Go)
  • Developing software in cloud-based software solutions (preferably AWS, but Azure/GCP works as well)
 
Preferred skills:
  • Able to work on minimal front-end code using React and TypeScript, but predominantly backend software
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS/React/SCSS
  • Able to operate in a Windows/macOS/Linux environment
  • Leadership Principles
 
Top 3 must-have hard skills
  • Java (or any object-oriented modern programming language)
  • Cloud-based software development (AWS/Azure/GCP)
  • Front-end/full-stack experience building production quality pages  (preferably React+TypeScript)
