Job Title: Digital Transformation Consultant (IT Process Improvement)
Duration: 06 Months
Location: Remote


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
  • Partner with IT leaders and staff across Operations, Applications, Infrastructure, Security, Service Desk, Project Management Office, and other stakeholder groups to conduct thorough assessments of existing IT processes, workflows, and handoffs between teams. Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for standardization and improvement.
  • Facilitate meetings, workshops, and/or focus groups with IT staff to collect feedback on existing processes and potential solutions
  • Design standardized end-to-end project workflows based on the results of the assessments of current state processes and interviews with IT leaders and staff regarding pain points. Draw from industry best practices and tailor processes according to the needs of client in order to drive efficient and predictable IT project delivery.
  • Research and recommend relevant software solutions, automation, and integration improvements to achieve ideal-state workflows. As necessary, evaluate third-party IT vendors and software solutions for process improvement initiatives, assist in the selection and procurement of relevant tools, and oversee implementation
  • Comprehensively document process maps and workflow designs in a clear and standardized format using flowchart and diagramming software (e.g., Visio) as well as user guides for the purpose of internal change communication and future process assessment and enhancement
  • Partner with IT leadership to thoughtfully design and execute an implementation and change management plan, drawing from insights gained during the assessment phase to identify specific parts of the organization that will require an additional degree of support throughout the implementation period.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions to educate IT staff on the new workflows and their benefits. Ensure documentation and knowledge is shared effectively across teams.
  • Monitor the rollout of process enhancement work and provide ongoing support to ensure effective adoption across teams. Partner with IT leadership to address challenges or resistance to change.
  • Measure the performance of implemented solutions and processes over time to ensure they continue to meet organizational needs. Identify opportunities for further optimization and propose refinements as necessary. Continuously track the ROI of IT process improvement efforts to ensure long-term benefits.
  • Coordinate resources, timeline, and budgets associated with process improvement work to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting the use of ongoing process evaluations, feedback loops, and iterative improvements
  • Stay current with industry trends and technologies to recommend innovative workflow solutions that enhance operational efficiency.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field required.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:
None required. Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, Agile, Lean Six Sigma) are a plus.

EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT consulting, project management, or a related role with a focus on workflow standardization and process optimization, required
  • Experience in change management and process improvement initiatives
  • Proven experience in supporting legacy systems and teams during transitions to modern practices
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES (KSA):
  • Strong understanding of IT project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and workflow management best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Proficiency in workflow design and management tools (e.g., Visio, LucidChart, process automation software)
  • An analytical mindset with the ability to identify problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
