Title: Data Operations Program Manager / Operations Manager IV
Location: Onsite – Redmond, WA
Duration: 12 Months

 

Overview
As a Data Operations Program Manager, you will play a critical role on an internal data team, supporting ambitious research programs by ensuring operational excellence across a multidisciplinary group of researchers. Your ability to manage projects, coordinate operations, and solve problems proactively will directly impact the team's success.

You’ll collaborate closely with Technical Program Managers, Research Coordinators, Research Scientists, and Research Assistants. To thrive in this role, you must be adaptable, resourceful, and comfortable navigating ambiguity—all while maintaining focus on driving team efficiency and tactical progress.

Key Responsibilities
Dogfooding Program Management

  • Manage internal testing programs, including developing marketing materials and onboarding documentation.

  • Build and maintain device management systems.

  • Provide hands-on support for participants testing pre-release hardware and software.

Device Management and Deployment

  • Track hardware used in both in-lab and remote data collection studies.

  • Procure, ship, and distribute prototype devices.

  • Partner with security teams to ensure devices are properly handled and maintained.

Procurement and Budgeting

  • Procure equipment and supplies for lab operations based on evolving data collection needs.

  • Monitor procurement workflows and ensure budget compliance for operations-related purchases.

Communication and Operational Support

  • Maintain internal records and update documentation regularly.

  • Manage internal websites and knowledge bases.

  • Share lab updates and policy changes with broader cross-functional teams.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in project management, operations, or data collection management.

  • 1+ years of experience working with networks, hardware, and/or software infrastructure.

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in diverse environments.

  • Proven track record of working independently and delivering highly organized results.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in human subjects research, lab management, or research support in fast-paced or ambiguous settings.

  • Background in building or managing medium to large-scale systems and services.

  • Ability to manage multiple workflows and projects simultaneously.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
