Job Description
Hours 6-2, 2-10, 10-6 Responsible for tasks related to the packaging of the product. The operator is responsible for packing the product correct, using materials and printed components for different presentations. The tasks include operating equipment, performing manual activities, and inspecting components and final product. It also includes equipment and area cleaning and housekeeping, as well as documentation, data entry, and use of computerized systems. The operator must follow written procedures – SOPs – and comply with cGMPs, safety and environmental rules and guidelines. It is expected that he/she participates in inspections and audits regarding cGMPs, Quality, Safety and Environmental. Production activities include quality sampling as part of the packaging process, the materials accountability, and inventory control. The operator should demonstrate good interpersonal relationships and ability to work under minimum direct supervision and in a team environment. It is required for her/him to wear protective equipment. She/he must be available to work in rotating shifts, extended periods, and/or overtime when required. 1. Operate, maintain in good conditions and clean the equipment used in the packaging process in the different packaging lines.2. Operate and enter relevant product information when packaged to the computerized equipment in the packaging area. 3. Perform inspections and sampling of the intermediate and final product following the specifications of the sampling plans in the operational procedures for the product to be packaged. 4. Provides support to other quality activities, such as assessment of the elegance test and others. 5. Supply materials to the storage accumulators when assigned.6. Manages and verifies packaging components, printed components, bulk product, finished and waste products (following special precautions per product). 7. Document in a clear and correct manner information and data of the packaging process for each lot.8. Post, manage and reconcile materials and waste at the end of the packaging process of each lot, registers the information and data in the documents assigned for it. 9. Assist in documentation audits of packaging records and investigations of atypical events. 10. Perform material reconciliation and complete documentation of usage and waste.11. Execute material transactions through the computerized system as required.12. Keep the packing lines clean, identified and organized, including hallways and the cleaning room. 13. Perform major and minor cleanings in an efficiently and effectively manner following operational procedures. Document properly the cleanings in the cleaning log for each line. 14. Must use the provided safety equipment. Informs the supervisor or designee of any deviations, risks or potential hazards in the area. 15. Properly completes other tasks assigned by the supervisor or designee., Education: - High school diploma. Associate or Bachelor degree, is preferred.
