- The main function of a Technical Program Manager (Machine Capacity Planning and Budget Management) is to provide successful definition, implementation and delivery of complex programs that require cross-functional collaboration and interdependencies across a group of projects and/or related activities.
- As the largest consumer of machine capacity, this role offers a unique opportunity to drive optimization efforts and make a significant impact on the organization's infrastructure
- This role provides an excellent platform to learn about Machine Learning (ML) infrastructure optimization, which is a rapidly growing fieldBetter palace to drive of learning inML infrastructure optimization
- In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with data scientists and infrastructure teams, gaining insights into the latest trends and technologies in data science and infrastructure management.
- Machine Capacity Planning: Developing strategies to optimize machine capacity utilization.
- GPU Resource Management: Managing GPU resources to ensure efficient utilization.
- Storage Optimization: Optimizing storage solutions to improve performance and reduce costs.
- Deliver programs within the constraints of scope, quality, time and budget and under circumstances involving multiple moderate-probability, moderate-impact risk factors.
- Program-level strategic planning, interaction with executive level management, complex issue resolution, excellent communications and team building skills.
- Manage a group or groups of internal exempt and matrixed employees and contractors that serve on the project(s) to deliver systems and systems enhancements that meet specified requirements.
- Oversight of project scope definition and management, requirements gathering and documentation, time estimating, project schedule development and tracking, project budget management, project status reporting, issue and risk management, contingency planning, customer interaction, and communications across multiple organizational levels.
- Reduce and maintain the utilization of Memcache and FCI cache backed platforms . Implement efficiency measures, including cache size reduction, resource optimization, and data management improvements, leveraging existing initiatives. Monitor progress bi-weekly to avoid hard enforcement actions.
- Monitor Regression and Mitigate associated Tasks - implement a system to track and manage open regression tasks across platforms, ensuring a 90% TAT resolution rate within two weeks. Develop a dashboard, improve metadata accuracy, and streamline communication channels, with bi-weekly reviews to monitor progress and accuracy.
- Maximize adoption of Infra Cloud Unified Tooling , change management for monthly escalation, budget and capacity operations
- Respond to Ad-Hoc Capacity Requests ( - Establish an intake mechanism for any resource, publish guidelines for communicating the new intake process
- Project estimating, project scheduling & tracking, customer interaction and management, implementation planning in large organizations
- Proven people management and team building skills
- Demonstrated ability to be flexible/ adaptable in exercising judgment in a changing environment and to manage competing priorities
- Proven ability to learn business processes quickly and to work well with business partners at different levels within the organization
- Strong ability to assess risk and apply management principles to technology applications/products and business functions
- Experience delivering technology and business application solutions in a large-scale, multi-platform systems environment
- Experience with software development lifecycle
- High level knowledge if Cloud and ML infrastructure, basic understanding of Data Storage and Engineering infrastructure
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred.
- PMP or PMI certification
