Project Overview:
The Azure Central APIM team is the development squad within Integration Services responsible for deployment, management, and support of the Azure Central API Management Platform. This will enable Cient govern API estate in a modern controlled manner, ensuring adoption and consistency of standards across the bank and for our clients. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Business Analyst to join our dynamic team as we expand our Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) components. The ideal candidate will have experience with API data platforms and an understanding of Data platforms, Event and or messaging platforms, (e.g., Kafka) test-driven development, and user-focused platform service documentation. You will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring seamless integration, testing and delivery of our iPaaS initiatives.
The Product Analyst is key to ensuring the MVP delivery by facilitating between product needs and development teams.
Contractor’s Role:
Assist the Azure Central APIM team to perform the following functions:
You will need understanding of technical components like Cloud, API management products, Event platforms, programming languages, design frameworks.
Development concepts and methodologies like ci/cd, Test Driven Development, BDD, test pyramids, non-functional requirements.
Good to have programming language understanding and data analytical skills with API specifications.
Responsible for gathering requirements and refining the product backlog, translating designs into features/epics, documenting user stories and interacting with developers, QA, and business partners to ensure understanding of the deliverables.
Product analysts are at the heart of product planning and development, helping teams create products by delivering
data-driven insights about customers and markets, including areas of improvement in the product lifecycle. They provide insight that drives management decisions on product direction and investment.
Qualifications (must haves):
Strong understanding of integration frameworks and middleware technologies.
Proficient in gathering and translating business requirements into technical specifications.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Comfortable working closely with cross-functional development teams of engineers, designers, researchers, strategists, and scrum masters
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum roles, artifacts, and ceremonies
Strong interpersonal/communication skills
Experience in the product development lifecycle
Conducting business analysis and translating business requirements to customer experience and development needs
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyse, and document business requirements for iPaaS solutions.
Develop detailed functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria. And keep track of them in the requirement management software like ADO / SharePoint, Office 365 and maintain traceability.
Work closely with the development team to design and implement test-driven development (TDD) practices.
Create and manage user-focused documentation for platform services.
Lead and participate in "3 Amigos" sessions to refine requirements and clarify ambiguities.
Develop onboarding materials and processes for new team members and users of the platform.
Leverage extensive experience with data platforms to provide insights and recommendations.
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Participate in signoff and release processes.
Perform the following General Product Analyst work
Monitor product performance
Identify patterns and trends that indicate how well a product performs gather and analyze customer feedback data to gauge performance
Utilize data to understand customer perception of products
Conduct in-depth interviews with individual customers, facilitate focus groups, or even create polls to collect feedback
Evaluate products and find ways to improve performance
Draw insights about products from the data gathered.
Evaluate products to determine how they can be improved or updated
Create reports and presentations about product data findings, such as charts, graphs, tables, or other visuals - to represent the data in a way stakeholders easily understand organization as part of the client’s Data team is responsible for delivering and making sure multiple Data Exchanges continue to follow these best practices to achieve operational excellence.
