Job Description
Job Title: Underwriting Account Senior Representative
Duration: 6 Months
Location: Remote
Workdays: Monday – Friday
Summary
The Underwriting Account Senior Representative, within Supplemental Benefits contributes to the Underwriting process through the handling of all Medicare Supplement, Health and Life underwritten applications.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Review medical history, data and interviews employing critical thinking skills
• Operating third party software to summarize application medical and health data
• Provide written correspondence, to the applicant or broker, regarding outstanding application requirements
Qualifications:
• High School diploma is required
• 2+ years insurance or medical experience required, preferably medical insurance or PBM background
• 1+ yr. of customer service experience preferably on phones
• Medical terminology preferred
• Excellent organizational and critical thinking skills
• Ability to prioritize workload independently in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of medical conditions/prescriptions
