Job Title: QA Specialist
Location: Toronto, ON – Hybrid (3 days onsite and 2 days remote)
Duration: 9 Months

- OpenText environment/knowledge.
- Creation of detailed and comprehensive test strategies, plans, schedules, and test cases.
- Creation / review of user acceptance test cases based on the test scenarios defined.
- Execution of test cases.
- Microsoft Visual Studio TFS
- JMeter
- Red Hat Linux
- Provides advice on the testing strategy, test plans, the selection of testing tools, and the identification of resources required for testing.
- Plans and organizes testing efforts for large systems in Graphical User Interface (GUI) and non-Graphical User Interface (GUI) environments, including the execution of systems integration tests, specialized tests, and user acceptance testing (e.g., stress tests).
- The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for the development of test plans, test scripts and test cases and executing these against the various components.
- The tester will work with the testing lead and IT lead of each project as well as the project team members in the analysis, design, development, implementation and ongoing support of the required systems.
- Requirement analysis – includes review of documentation, user manuals, interviewing / joining requirements workshops etc.
- Creation of detailed and comprehensive test strategies, plans, schedules, and test cases
- Creation / review of user acceptance test cases based on the test scenarios defined
- Coordination of the full defective lifecycle from discovery and triage through to documentation, communication, resolution, and verification
- Windows OS both desktop and server.
- Various interfaces for testing including web, web services, and thick client
- Prior experience testing Enterprise content management products such as HP TRIM , OpenText , alfresco etc.
- Prior experience with data migration.
- Executes tests (either manually or using automated tools such as UFT, Load Runner or JMeter.
- Executes and validates test set-up to ensure the environment is ready for testing.
- Identifies and provides initial analysis to develop and implement appropriate actions.
- Documents test results to support the efficient resolution of problems and to capture defect data.
- Enters data in the defect management tool to report variances from expected results.
- Verifies defects are fixed to ensure expected results are met.
- Strong communication skills to prepare documentation, including but not limited to reports, reviews, assessments.
