Job Title: Project/Program Manager – Finance Initiatives
Location: Chicago IL USA 60606 (Hybrid)
Duration: 12 Months

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Project/Program Manager to support key Finance initiatives, including tracking the health and performance of ongoing projects and programs. This role will operate in a highly matrixed, cross-functional environment and collaborate closely with stakeholders across Finance, Digital Technology, and other business units. While initially focused on Finance, the scope may expand to support additional areas.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of projects and programs within Finance, ensuring alignment with business priorities and ROI expectations.

Oversee the intake process for new initiatives and ensure proper prioritization and execution.

Develop and maintain integrated project plans, including timelines, budgets, dependencies, and resource requirements.

Track key milestones, deliverables, and benefits realization to ensure project goals are met.

Proactively manage risks, issues, and interdependencies by working with cross-functional stakeholders.

Lead regular status reporting and performance updates to project teams, stakeholders, and leadership.

Establish strong governance structures and ensure active stakeholder engagement.

Support business case development, as well as communication, change management, and training plans.

Assist in UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and coordinate IT implementation from the user perspective.

Perform other related duties as required.
Required Qualifications:
-
5+ years of solid project/program management experience, preferably within a Fortune 100 or large enterprise environment.

Proven experience leading multiple complex initiatives simultaneously, with budgets exceeding $2M+.

Strong understanding of accounting and finance principles.

Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and navigate matrix environments.

Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook, Word).

Ability to manage competing priorities and thrive in ambiguous situations.

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Experience in the aviation industry.
-
PMP Certification.
-
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent.

Familiarity with Smartsheet or similar project management tools.
Additional Notes:

Hybrid role – must be available to attend on-site meetings/workshops as needed.

No or minimal business travel required.

Candidates must successfully complete interviews (initial, panel, and/or leadership).

Reliable and punctual attendance is essential.
