Job Title: Payroll Tax Contractor
Duration: 12 Months (Possible to extend)
Location: Davidson, NC 28036
Note: The position will require the contractor to work onsite from Monday through Friday for 40 hours each week.

Job Summary:
- We are seeking a highly competent and experienced Payroll Tax Contractor to join our team.
- The primary responsibility of the Payroll Tax Contractor will be to provide assistance to the payroll tax team in their efforts to accurately compute, prepare, and file payroll tax forms and documentation in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Maintain access to State Websites for State Income Tax and Unemployment Tax.
- Retrieve and scan the Payroll Tax mail and review the team email inbox and upload notifications to ADP SmartCompliance.
- Review the Payroll Calculation tax errors each Tuesday and resolve any discrepancies in PeopleSoft.
- Review and resolve the Daily Payroll Tax audit reports.
- Review and track the open Case statuses on ADP SmartCompliance.
- Resolve the Locality Fall Off reports in PeopleSoft.
- Perform the monthly Illinois tax filing upload.
- Assist with other payroll tasks, fall-offs and projects as needed.
- Proven experience as a Payroll Tax Specialist or similar role.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations.
- Proficiency with payroll software and systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Solid problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Familiarity with automated payroll systems and software.
- The selected candidate will have the opportunity to play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and compliant payroll tax processes for the organization.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
