This is SUPER high-visibility work: MILLIONS of customers will be impacted by your contributions: The changes we make directly impact the customer experience on every Client’s site. This is a great position for someone who likes backend development and Service Oriented Architecture but wants to see and measure their direct impact on customers.
We are seeking a strong Software development Engineer to lead Delivery Experience worldwide. Delivery Information is a mission critical product for shopping experience on Client’s retail website. Any time someone is shopping on Client’s Website, the delivery information will mostly be owned by your team, you will join the technology team that inform customers when they can get the product/item, rendering billions of delivery messages per day. This an incredibly innovative space and there are tons of highly complex technical challenges and innovative opportunities since delivery experience is one of the key areas that customers value the most in online retail.
 
Leadership Principle:
  • Ownership. Expect candidate to demonstrate ownership within projects. Expect them to own projects end to end.
  • Bias for action. Being able to continue forward even with blockers, being proactive.
 
YOE:
  • 3+ years, ideally 4+ years of experience
 
Degrees or Cert:
  • Java cert around 17 or 11, would be an added value not a requirement.
  • Open to candidates without BA in engineering as long as the experience is there.
 
Coding language required:
  • Java
  • Knowledge on automating smaller tasks (using Python or Java Script)
  • Native/AWS
Performance Indicators:
  • Solving complex problems, trying to break them into smaller chunks and not seeing it as a complex problem.
  • Context switching – may be asked to work on different projects than originally planned as things change within the team.
