Job Description

Title: Program Manager II
Duration: 6 Months
Location:  Seattle, WA

Job Description:
Client is looking for a passionate, result-oriented and innovative Program Manager responsible for building detailed disaster relief playbooks and managing day-to-day operations of Disaster Relief by Client.
Around the globe, natural disasters affect the communities where our customers, our employees and their families live and work. When disasters strike, our team helps by using our products and logistics and by providing channels for our customers and employees to participate in the relief efforts. We monitor natural disasters year-round and respond quickly to disasters. We have mechanisms to launch activations, including customer-facing cash and product donations (wish lists), as well as a program for corporate donations and logistics. We are maintaining extensive playbooks to address “right now needs” and disasters that require constant scaling and adapting.
The ideal candidate understands the needs of global community engagement and can act as a liaison between non-profit groups, internal Client’s teams and logistic partners. Candidates know how to delegate smartly to volunteers around the company and are able to act on our playbook solutions with sound operational practice and a constant desire to make processes more fool-proof and faster to execute; the position requires a sense of urgency and coordination on various levels of the organization and with external partners. Attention to detail, a track-record of creating and maintaining easy-to-use documentation, a history of acting in a fast-pace environment with sound judgement and building accountable reporting is as important as dealing with ambiguous problems. A successful candidate will be resourceful, customer-focused, team oriented, and will have an ability to work independently under time constraints to meet deadlines. Ideally, the candidate also enjoys coming up and developing new solutions when the situation allows.
Responsible for the coordination and completion of project/program. Oversees all aspects of projects. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project/program. Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project/program. May require a bachelor's degree and 4-7 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.

Required:
  • 5+ years in product or field/operations program/project management experience

Preferred:
  • Significant experience building processes, documentation, project management, and schedules
  • Track record for Operational Excellence in Program Management, including writing playbook, creating mechanisms, training others, and rolling out programs
  • Excellent communication skills to operate with multiple leaders across the organization.
