Summary:
The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager is responsible for driving the company’s financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis to support strategic decision-making. This role partners senior leadership and department heads to provide financial insights, identify trends, and evaluate business opportunities. The FP&A Manager plays a critical role in preparing budgets, conducting variance analysis, and developing financial models. This position focuses on optimizing financial processes, enhancing reporting accuracy, and improving overall business performance through data-driven recommendations.

The FP&A Manager plays a critical role in preparing budgets, conducting variance analysis, and developing financial models. This position focuses on optimizing financial processes, enhancing reporting accuracy, and improving overall business performance through data-driven recommendations.
Essential Functions:
- Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop detailed, data-driven budgets aligned with company objectives.
- Develop rolling forecasts to provide dynamic financial projections based on actual performance, market conditions, and strategic goals.
- Compare actual financial results against budgets and forecasts, identifying key variances and providing insights into corrective actions.
- Collaborate with department leaders to ensure financial plans support operational and strategic decisions.
- Conduct financial modeling to evaluate the impact of different business scenarios on budgets and forecasts.
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess financial performance and operational efficiency.
- Prepare and present financial reports, dashboards, and management presentations to communicate budget and forecast insights to senior leadership.
- Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency and enhance profitability through detailed financial analysis.
- Conduct analyses to evaluate potential investments, business scenarios and strategic initiatives.
- Enhance budgeting and forecasting processes through automation, better financial tools, and improved data accuracy.
- In charge of federal funds reporting / reimbursement processes.
- Maintains compliance with all financial reporting requirements.
- Assists in the creation, approvals and maintaining GL accounts, cost centers capex projects and locations.
- Participate in meetings and orientations.
- Execute any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited university.
- The position requires at least seven (7) years of related experience.
- CPA required.
- Skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion and decision-making to achieve organizational objectives.

- Skill in exercising judgment and discretion in developing, applying, interpreting, and coordinating policies and procedures.
- Ability to work and maintain confidential data.

- Ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with customers and internal departments.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a deadline-oriented operation.
- Language skills in Spanish and English. Ability to read and understand instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write complex correspondence and make complex presentations of information, effectively, an individual or small groups of customers and other employees of the organization.
- Work with mathematical concepts such as probability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals skills. Ability to compute rates, proportions and percentages, and draw and interpret complex graphs. Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Proficiency with office equipment, computers, calculators, photocopy and fax machine and phone.
- Ability to deal with problems involving some variable in common situations.
- Complexity of duties:
- Diversified duties involving an intensive knowledge of a specialty field, and the use of a wide range of procedures. Requires the use of judgment in the analysis of facts and circumstances surrounding individual problems and transactions and in the determination of actions to be taken within the limits of standard or accepted practice.
- Type of supervision received:
- Under direction where definite objectives are established; plans arrange a significant portion of their own work, referring only unusual cases to supervisor or others.
- Impact of errors and quality of work:
- Probable errors or impact on quality of work may be serious involving losses such as improper costs, failure to take discounts, incorrect charges, overpayments, delays of processes, services and operations, loss or holding up production, waste of material, inadequate delivery of services, loss of departmental or supervisor’s credibility or damage to equipment. Loss is usually a one-time occurrence with limited lasting impact. Effects usually confined within the organization. Most of the work is not directly verified or checked.
- Interaction:
- Regular contact with All departments, providing or obtaining information or reports, to discuss confidential or administrative routine issues. Contact outside of the organization with suppliers and other private companies where inappropriate courtesy could affect the relations.
- Working with confidential information:
- Work entails handling confidential information such as employee’s information, evaluations and salaries. Inappropriate handling of this confidential data may cause an increase in the costs of purchase orders. Safeguards confidential information always and demonstrates integrity and discretion when working with it.
- Mental and visual demand and attention:
- Flow of work and character of duties involve normal mental and visual attention along with manual coordination, or part-time normal and part-time concentrated attention and coordination.
- Exposure to hazards:
- Remote likelihood of employee accidents or injuries. Could get superficial and insignificant cuts and scratches that would only require the use of disinfectants and simple bandages. Employees would return immediately to the work area.
- General working conditions:
- Good working conditions outside of the office. Occasionally, only sometimes, outside of the office is exposed to elements such as noise, dust, heat, odors. May be required to work after working hours, weekends and in emergency situations.
