What you'll bring:

  • 3-5 years of applied project management experience managing projects of various sizes for Embedded Software Programs
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and negotiate with a diverse group of cross-functional stakeholders in Marketing, R&D, QA, Regulatory, Sourcing, and Operations
  • Strong communication (verbal, written, and presentation) skills
  • Attention to detail
Qualifications:
  • Applied experience with Microsoft Project.
  • Familiarity of the Agile product development process.
  • Deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Medical Device Background or Automotive Industry
  • Technical 4-Year Degree
  • Preferred Project Management Professional (PMP certification)

Your Team
  • The R&D PMO Team, within Patient Support Systems (PSS) & Global Surgical Solutions (GSS) Engineering, is responsible for managing, directing, and coordinating engineering product design development/modifications of current model products and new product lines. We are a team of inquisitive individuals who embrace a collaborative environment to take on sophisticated challenges that meet the needs of our patients. We often need to change directions and respond to issues to avoid disruptions in our fast-paced manufacturing environment. Together, we build and maintain a positive work environment.
What you'll be doing:
  • As a R&D Project Lead, you will lead cross-functional project teams to complete Sustaining and New Product Development (NPD) projects from planning through implementation. This position is for a person invested in building their career as a project leader who is goal driven and enjoys working in a dedicated cross-functional team environment.
Primary responsibilities
  • Your primary responsibilities will be to effectively organize and lead cross-functional project teams using your project management skills. Using your strong planning, organization, communication, and collaboration skills, you will lead a diverse scope of projects with limited supervision. The projects may include, projects aimed at enhancing product features sets of current products to ensure customer satisfaction, addressing quality issues, or meeting new regulatory standards.
  • You will lead one medium or multiple small projects that impact company performance. You will direct the activities of internal and external team members to meet project objectives. You will also implement design changes into production for current products and provide consultation support of other engineering projects.
  • You will proactively support continuous improvement opportunities and ongoing process improvements with the goal to continually build the group.
  • You must be a flexible, self-directed, organized, dependable, proactive, and persistent. You will effectively plan and execute projects, coach project team members, solve problems, and make decisions with limited direction. In the role, will communicate both up and down the organization to effectively complete and provide status of the projects.
