Job Description

Title: Product Policy Coordinator/ Program Coordinator III
Duration: 12 Months
Location: Remote

A leading global technology company is seeking a product-focused strategic thinker to join its Product Policy & Strategy team as a Product Policy Coordinator and multimodal red-teamer to provide policy support for Generative AI products. In this role, you will work to ensure that AI models and products are unbiased and capable of understanding and responding to diverse viewpoints on contentious issues. You will accomplish this by engaging in adversarial testing of Large Language Models, including multimodal models, and tracking emerging risks and questions around political processes, breaking news, and significant global events. The role also involves analyzing competitor model behaviors and policies, and advising on forward-looking, policy-aligned product development.
    Responsibilities:
  • Design and execute red-teaming evaluations across text and multimodal AI systems to identify political and ideological bias and assess gaps in mitigations, focusing on the United States and other high-priority markets.
  • Prioritize high-risk areas in collaboration with cross-functional partners, centering efforts around elections, breaking news cycles, and politically sensitive global events.
  • Pivot between structured, ongoing red-teaming programs and rapid-response evaluations during emerging events.
  • Assess and synthesize findings to identify systemic issues and inform model development, safety mitigations, and policy guidance.
  • Communicate red-teaming insights clearly and effectively to cross-functional stakeholders in Policy, Product, Trust, and Research teams.
  • Support product development by advising on launch readiness and contributing to risk assessments related to generative model behavior.
  • Monitor and analyze the evolving political and policy landscape—domestically and globally.
  Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • 5+ years of experience working on technology and public policy/governance issues.
  • Strong understanding of the political and policy environment in the United States.
  • Interest in Generative AI products/technology.
  • Experience working independently to apply analytical thinking to solve ambiguous, complex problems.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
 Preferred Qualifications:
  • Working proficiency in additional languages, such as Spanish, Hindi, or Arabic.
  • Experience red-teaming/adversarially testing technology products.
Must-Have Skills:
  • Existing experience with red-teaming, Generative AI, and a solid understanding of trust and safety in online environments.
  • 5+ years of experience working on technology and public policy/governance issues, with proven ability to effectively manage a team.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Experience working in Big Tech environments.
  • Proven success in working with complex stakeholders and managing horizontally across teams.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with experience managing sensitive issues discreetly; proficiency in additional languages (English, Spanish, Portuguese).
  • Strong knowledge of the U.S. political environment, including political and policy issues.
