Summary:
Responsible for the operation and maintenance of the airport facilities and equipment including runways, roadways, buildings, lightning, power distribution, emergency power generators, visual aids, potable and sanitary distribution systems, fire systems, BHS, PBB’s, elevators, escalators, HVAC, fleet vehicles, heavy equipment.
 
Essential Functions:

• Develops and implements the Maintenance plan. Consider historical data, O&M factory manuals and recommendations for these plans.  Use CMMS platform to ensure compliance with maintenance schedule. 
• Manages Maintenance Department budget. Prepares and presents Maintenance OPEX and CAPEX based on requirements and company objectives. Ensures strict compliance with assigned budget, including updating forecast reports and justification of overruns and underruns. 
• Schedules and coordinates short- and long-term projects.  Sets clear deadlines, appoints resources, monitors, and ensures strict compliance with cost, quality, and timeline.  Uses project management tools; monitors and presents project progress.
• Develops request for proposals and maintenance contracts. 
• Manages maintenance personnel. 
• Coordinates and documents regular staff meetings. 
• Coordinates and request training for personnel.
• Ensures the airport facilities and equipment fully complies with local and federal regulations.
• Meets with contractors to follow up on projects and maintenance contracts.
• Interview personnel for new positions.
• Evaluates employee performance, sets clear deadlines, and ensures compliance with KPI’s, including response and repair times. 
• Guides, directs, and motivates direct reporting.
• Develops and implements specific maintenance objective and strategies; including procedures, and standards.
• Ensures employee and contractor compliance with OSHA requirements; evaluates and approves safety plans, rigging plans and job hazard analysis among others. 
• Develops and implement programs to improve sustainability and energy efficiency to reduce operating costs and environmental impacts.
• Evaluates, follows up and complies with PRPA lease agreement.
• Prepare and deliver regular presentations to share information regarding major accomplishments, goals, plans, deadlines, projects, and business cases, among others. 

Qualification Requirements:

• Bachelor’ Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering.
• EIT or PE, and in good standing with the CIAPR. 
• OSHA 30 hours.
• Knowledge in computer systems.
• CMMS Platform – Emaint, Maximo or Similar
• Microsoft Project
• AutoCAD.
• FAA Airport Safety Part 139 Certification.
