Job Title: Manufacturing / Environmental Test Engineer
Location: Redmond, WA
Duration: 6 Months
Shifts: One of each assigned to Front Half Days (Su-W,600am-430pm), Front Half Nights (Su-W,5pm-330am), Back Half Days (W-Sa,600am-430pm), Back Half Nights (W-Sa,5pm-330am).
Role Overview:
As a Manufacturing Test Engineer within Environmental Test Lab, you will own the processes and equipment required to perform testing critical to satellite production. Through process improvement and hands-on troubleshooting, you will be responsible for the quality, efficiency, and rate scaling of the lab.

Role Overview:
As a Manufacturing Test Engineer within Environmental Test Lab, you will own the processes and equipment required to perform testing critical to satellite production. Through process improvement and hands-on troubleshooting, you will be responsible for the quality, efficiency, and rate scaling of the lab.
Key Responsibilities
- Equipment Ownership: Serve as primary owner for environmental test equipment (Thermal, TVAC, Vibe, Shock, or HASS), managing configurations, maintenance, and improvement projects. Provide technical leadership during troubleshooting events. Manage relationships with 3rd party equipment vendors.
- Process Development: Establish standardized test processes and work instructions that enable technicians to operate with minimal engineer supervision.
- Rate Improvement: Analyze data to validate the ability of test procedures to meet requirements. Identify and lead projects that increase throughput, reduce cycle time, and improve first-pass yield
- Automation Troubleshooting: Ability to read and triage simple errors in LabView and Python code execution, understanding of control loops used in environmental test, and an ability to articulate failures to support teams for more complex issues
- Manufacturing Execution System Management: Define data artifacts in MES/ERP systems. Develop and manage system standards for handling test execution and non-conformances.
Training: Develop and deliver training for technicians on equipment operation and test procedures
- Years of Experience: 3 to 5 Years
- Degree or Certification: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, physics, materials science or other related discipline
- Leadership Principle: Learn and Be Curious, Dive Deep, Clear communication
- Environmental Test
- Experience with environmental testing equipment (vibration, thermal, vacuum)
- automation tools (LabView, Python)
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, physics, materials science or other related discipline
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or test engineering in aerospace or similar industry
- Experience with environmental testing equipment (vibration, thermal, vacuum)
- Proficiency in test automation tools (LabView, Python)
- Experience developing and improving manufacturing processes* Experience with environmental testing equipment (vibration, thermal, vacuum)
