Lead Java Engineer

Special Instructions:
*REQUIRED SKILLS*

• Must be an advanced Java 17+/Spring Boot developer with experience with event-driven architecture, multi-threaded applications, and high-volume messaging queues.
• Must have experience with functional and reactive programming
• Must have 3+ years of current experience with all major AWS services, including EKS.
• Must have expert knowledge on Kafka and handling high-volume messaging queues. 
• Must have superior communication skills with the ability hold their own and present to business stakeholders.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• A solid and strong foundation in software engineering – 8+ years experience
• Expert and comfortable with core Java 21+ technologies and frameworks like Spring Boot
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes/Helm
• Experience with SQL and stored procedures. Oracle database preferred
• Experience with the following technologies: Spring 3.x, JPA, REST/Web Services, Maven, XML, Apache Tomcat, Swagger, Kafka, Reactor/JavaRX
• Understanding of Angular framework and Typescript is nice-to-have.
• Experience building and deploying cloud enabled applications using 12 factor design.
• Experience building and deploying applications using continuous integration pipelines and automated deployment tools such as Jenkins
• Passionate and committed to learning new things and developing with the latest technologies and frameworks
• Able to lead small agile teams and work independently, having a strong user focus
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks at a given time
