Job Title: Contract Manager IV / Category Manager
Duration:7+ months

Job Description:
 
  • Category Manager for Technology categories including software, infosec, digital workplace, compute and storage.
  • This role is expected to develop and grow relationships with Technology business partners to understand objectives, key priorities, and opportunities.
  • The role will also lead large, complex negotiations with suppliers while managing an internal matrixed deal team.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Understand spend profiles, leverage benchmarking, and prepare business cases and presentations for Technology leaders.
  • Partner with Technology leaders and Source to Contract team to develop sourcing strategies and plans, negotiate key deals and contracts and complete supplier assessments and selections through RFx activities or targeted negotiations.
  • Lead through strategic thinking, financial analytics, external marketplace focus and partnering closely with business units to influence and help drive key, strategic business decisions
  • Bring external insights, innovative ideas, and an enterprise view on market trends, competitive landscape value generation and strategic sourcing opportunities.
 
Required Skills:
  • Extensive Technology category management and/or sourcing experience (in particular with large Software deals)
  • Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, balanced with a proven track record of delivering tangible results in a complex, global, and matrix work environment.
  • Excellent relationship management and communication skills with the ability to collaborate and influence across levels with internal and external partners (including senior executives) globally. Proven ability to engage and maintain senior stakeholder relationships.
  • Proven track record of data analysis to develop insights and recommendations, solve business challenges, improve customer experience, and bottom-line results.
  • Strong leadership skills and commitment to collaborating and partnering with customers, colleagues, and key stakeholders to deliver high-quality output with limited resources.
  • Positive attitude, ability to work in a fluid, fast-paced, and at times unstructured environment, and maintain flexibility to meet the changing needs of the customers, business units, and the organization.
