Job Description

Job Title: Integration Technician III – A
Duration: 6 Months Assignment
Location: Huntsville, AL

Shift A - 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Mon-Thu

Description:
  • Precision assembly of rocket engine components: combustion devices, valves, turbomachinery, avionics, test hardware.
  • Root cause analysis diagnostic disassembly, repair, and rework of components.
  • Perform hydraulic testing for valve actuation.
  • Conduct nitrogen and helium leak testing.
  • Prepare hardware for environmental testing.
  • Perform hydrostatic proof (hydro proof) structural testing of components. 
  • Inspect components to tolerances of 0.0001 in.
  • Maintain strict cleanliness standards (including liquid/gaseous oxygen compatibility).
  • Support the design, procurement, installation, and integration of custom manufacturing and test equipment.
  • Help maintain an inventory of tools and equipments.
  • Work safely with hazardous systems, chemicals, and high-pressure operations.
  • Define procedures to prepare hardware for test, qualification, and flight.
  • Identify, develop, and deploy new manufacturing methods (or refine existing ones) to improve quality, reduce cost, and optimize build schedule
  • Support DFMA and PFMEA studies to strengthen feedback between design, build, and test phases.
  • Support the development of manufacturing work instructions to clearly define the following manufacturing processes: receiving inspection, fabrication, assembly, testing, integration and refurbishment.
  • Identify non-conformances and escapes, support and deploy corrective actions
Qualifications:
  • 4 - 6 years of direct valve, turbomachinery, or engine assembly experience.
  • Mastery of precision and tight tolerance assembly.
  • Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings.
  • Extensive experience reading and understanding specifications and detailed work instructions.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing new processes.
  • Strong written, verbal, technical, and software skills (CAD, scheduling tools, issue tracking systems, Excel,Word, PowerPoint,Outlook, etc).
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs.
  • Lift and carry 50 lbs for limited durations.
  • Work schedule may vary and depend on hardware and testing needs.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends when necessary.
  • Willingness and ability to travel for training during the first 6–12 months.
