Senior Project Manager
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)
Duration: 6 Months (Possible extension)


About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with a strong background in regulatory-driven projects, ideally within banking or financial services. The successful candidate must have experience working with government-funded programs, specifically regulatory bills such as Quebec Student Loans, and will be responsible for managing compliance and operational changes tied to such programs.

This role will support initiatives where client acts as a managing and reporting partner for government funds, requiring a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks, financial operations, and cross-functional coordination.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end delivery of projects related to regulatory bills and government-funded programs (e.g., Quebec Student Loans).
Collaborate with compliance, legal, operations, and technology teams to implement operational and regulatory changes.
Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies.
Ensure adherence to applicable government regulations and reporting standards.
Serve as a subject matter expert on regulatory projects impacting banking services and fund management.
Manage stakeholder relationships with both internal teams and external government entities.
Provide regular project updates, status reports, and executive summaries to leadership.
Monitor program performance, ensuring alignment with compliance requirements and clients internal policies.

Qualifications:
7+ years of Project Management experience in banking, financial services, or a related sector.
Strong experience working with government-funded or regulated programs, particularly Quebec Student Loans or similar provincial/federal programs.
Solid understanding of regulatory compliance, financial reporting, and fund management.
PMP or other Project Management certification is preferred.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to navigate and manage complex stakeholder environments, including regulatory bodies.
Bilingual (French/English) is an asset, especially for projects involving Quebec-based programs.

Nice to Have:
Prior experience working directly with or for government agencies or provincial student aid organizations.
Familiarity with client systems and operations, or similar large Canadian banking institutions.
Change management experience in regulatory or compliance-heavy environments.
