Job Description

Title: Sr. Research Associate
Location: Cambridge, MA, 
02139 (Onsite) 
Duration: 6 months
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Remark: Potential for Exposure to Bloodborne Pathogens/Infectious Materials

 
Overview:
The Sr. Research Associate I will play a key role in the design and execution of in vitro experiments supporting the screening, optimization, and validation of cell therapy products. This includes generating and characterizing novel cell therapy constructs and conducting complex laboratory procedures.
Post-experiment responsibilities will include data analysis, interpretation, and presentation to internal stakeholders. The candidate will participate in discussions that inform critical decision-making and ensure adherence to data quality and record-keeping standards.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Execute aseptic cell culture techniques on tumor and immune effector cell types (T cells, NK cells, and other immune cells), including Thawing, passaging, counting, and banking of cells
  • Conduct in vitro cell-based assays such as Cytotoxicity assays and Flow cytometry assays
  • Operate and maintain screening instrumentation including: Incucyte, Symphony and Luminex
  • Utilize automation systems for high-throughput formats, including 384-well plate assays, Automated pipetting and Liquid handling systems
  • Analyze experimental data using Microsoft Excel, GraphPad Prism and FlowJo
  • Present findings and insights to cross-functional teams and contribute to strategic experimental decisions.
 
Qualifications:
  • BS in a scientific discipline with 4+ years of relevant laboratory experience, or
  • MS in a scientific discipline with 1+ years of relevant experience
 
Skills:
  • Proficiency in aseptic technique and mammalian cell culture
  • Solid understanding of immunology and oncology is a plus
  • Experience with high-throughput assay formats and automated laboratory systems
  • Strong data analysis and interpretation skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
