Job Description

Program Manager II
Remote (PST)
12 Months

Job Description:
Scope
  • There are two programs that require the support by the capacity of one (1) program manager.
Program 1: Privacy Waves (expecting 30-35% of bandwidth)
  • Privacy Waves is a program that allows privacy works to be federated across client. It is an essential tool to facilitate the action of many privacy-related goals, especially those that require identification, audit, verification, validation, and deletion of various assets.
  • Because the program is heavily federated, it requires dexterous program management for it to run well to achieve our goal.
  • Prior to having a CW PgM onboard, we had a much lower action rate of privacy waves.

Program 2: Monetization Pilot (expecting 65-70% of bandwidth)
  • Monetization Pilot (often referred to as “Mon Pilot”) is a program for Monetization within CS 2.0 that comprises Monetization Data Strategy (MDS), Monetization Risk Assessment Program (MonRap), and LaMa escalations. These are forums that allow senior product managers, engineers, and PXFN to join together and make steer guidance on key privacy and product strategies.
  • Because the pace of Mon Pilot is extremely fast and there are a lot of moving pieces, we again need a program manager to coordinate the program, facilitate meetings and takeaways, and manage discussion cadences. Prior to having a CW PgM on this, these were managed directly by senior TPMs or sometimes the senior leads themselves, which was not a good use of their time.

Job expectations:
Program 1: Privacy Waves
  • Privacy Waves is a federation program that receives, prioritizes, and distributes privacy-related work across client product and business engineering teams. Waves operate in monthly sprints, distributing tasks that range from critical compliance requirements to improve the privacy capability of our infra, data, and code.
  • Within Monetization, when Wave tasks are aligned between Central Privacy and Monetization PPG, we aim to achieve a 90% task action rate of wave tasks. This job comes with the following expectations:
    • Work with the Mon PPG Privacy Waves program driver (currently Esteban Solis) in establishing communication channels with various product groups within Monetization on each team’s privacy wave responsibilities. Drive the progress of the privacy wave, and product necessary reports.
    • At the beginning of each wave
    • Identify the number of tasks in scope
    • Identify the number of rewaveable vs. non-rewaveable tasks
    • Identify new workstreams, and help PPG driver obtain alignment and commitment from affected teams
    • Work with PPG driver to kick off the wave within Monetization (Example)
  • During each wave, week over week:
  • Identify the current action rate and wave tasks not-yet-completed
  • Produce a report for each product group, summarizing the status of the wave thus far (Example)
  • Identify product groups that are not meeting the overall goal, proactively reach out, and help drive progress.
  • Communicate issues and blockers to PPG and stakeholders
  • At the end of each wave:
  • Summarize the wave by each product group (Example)
  • Work with PPG to develop a plan for teams that underperform on the wave
  • Suggest proposals for program improvements
