Job Description: Compliance Program Manager
Duration: 12+ Months
Locations: Remote with options to work from LA, NYC, Seattle, or Burlingame. However, there will be a requirement to come into the office for a few days each month.
The Developer Enablement Operations (DEO) team works closely with Legal, Design, Engineers, Operations, Product and Policy teams to ensure our privacy programs and enforcement operations are robust, efficient, and scalable. We are looking for those interested and passionate about privacy, process and operations excellence, and the developers creating content for it.
The Compliance Program Manager will be a critical part of the DEO team collaborating with the Privacy Policy Operations Managers in management of key privacy programs. The Compliance Program Manager will support migration of privacy programs and will be responsible for overall privacy program health. Day-to-day operations include supporting daily privacy operations, identifying gaps and providing recommendations, and heavily contributing to a consolidation of privacy programs cross-platform.
The Compliance Program Manager is knowledgeable about our data policies and privacy compliance requirements. They leverage a deep understanding of the developer ecosystems, privacy assessments, compliance processes, tooling, and 3P experiences with privacy requirements. They use their visibility into the ecosystem to identify refinement opportunities for technical, process, developer experience, integrity, ethics, safety, and privacy standards for 3rd party applications on the Client Horizon platform. The ideal candidate is curious, empathetic, principled, detail-oriented, and attuned to changing privacy requirements, as well as business and developer needs.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize program migration and consolidation opportunities
- Manage and mitigate risks associated with program migrations and consolidations
- Identify opportunity for operational and engineering efficiency
- Assume ownership and drive actual migration aspects of various projects (technical and non technical)
- Communicate program changes and updates to stakeholders, including senior leadership, customers, and partners
- Develop and manage project timelines and resource allocation plans, lead status meetings
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Provide regular progress reports and updates to stakeholders
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience managing large, ideally cross-platform programs
- Experience working independently and collaboratively
- Leading initiatives that reduced costs, gained efficiency and/or had positive impact on customers/developers
- Proficiency in leading SWOT and/or gap analysis, identifying opportunities and leading initiatives to solve those gaps
- Experience managing and organizing multiple large document files with varying deadlines
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong technical and professional writing skills
- Computer knowledge and various programs such as google suite, excel
Preferred Qualifications
- Shared services or (para)legal experience
- Experience in researching policy and historical documents
- Experience consolidating and migrating privacy programs
- Experience with data privacy, including GDPR, FTC, and risk/compliance management concepts in a global context
- Experience working in a global, large-scale, complex, fast-paced environment and dealing with ambiguity
- Working with third party developers
- Familiarity with the VR or gaming industry
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical, liberal arts, legal or business-related field
- Working in compliance, privacy, or a regulatory environment
- Privacy (IAPP), Compliance, or Project Management (PCP) certifications preferred
- Experience in tech (preferred)
