Job Description:
The individual will design, create, test, and deploy test-driven solutions across multiple technology domains. Candidate must demonstrate strong logical and creative problem-solving abilities, good oral and written communication, and excellent analytical skills.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Designing, writing, and executing automated test scripts using Java & Selenium WebDriver for UI Automation plus REST Assured and Cucumber BDD for API Automation.
- Maintaining and enhancing existing automated test scripts and frameworks to improve test efficiency and coverage.
- Contributing to the continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes by integrating automated tests into build pipelines such as Jenkins.
- Keeping up to date with industry trends and best practices in test automation and applying them to improve test development & execution processes.
- Developing Quality Management plans and test strategy for each sprint/release, review test plans and conduct peer reviews of plans & test cases.
- Working with Product owners to ensure business requirements are adequate & ensure test cases are developed according to standards for both manual and automated.
- Update Quality Tools with requirement traceability, test cases, test sets and defects according to QA standards & report status on the QA review report.
- Hands on test creation and execution of user stories (Smoke, Functional Integration, Regression testing) and logging defects.
- Engage Development Team in defect resolution & Lead defect review calls.
- Assisting Testing with other groups for Non-functional QA phases (Performance, Security, Accessibility).
- Provide guidance around QA strategies, proactive governance, and risk management for overall quality delivery of platform applications. Working collaboratively across scrums teams and testing team for our partner BUs to ensure success by applying best practice principals, and techniques.
Education and Experience:
- B S. /B.A. or M.A. /M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
- 4+ years overall experience for the execution and control of all aspects of testing.
- Expertise in Web based and Mobile testing, knowledge of J2EE applications testing.
- Experience with testing RESTful micro-services architecture on the cloud.
- Understanding of event driven approach and testing the functions by posting messages to AWS SQS queues.
- Understanding of cloud database, NoSQL concepts (DocumentDB, Aurora) including caching (ElastiCache) and SQL for RDBMS Technical
Required Qualifications:
- Good working knowledge of test automation processes, concepts, and tools such as Java, Cucumber, Selenium, TestNG, JMeter, Postman, SoapUI.
- Well versed with back-end automation testing.
- Experience with multiple development methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid) & different tools (JIRA, Confluence, MIRO).
- Experience with Rest API automation is a MUST.
- Experience with Unix and scripting.
- Experience with developing and executing fast test scripts that are easily reusable and maintainable.
- Experience with Jenkins and integrating into CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with ETL (e.g. DataStage, Informatica) data sourcing, transformation and validation.
- Working knowledge of build tools such as ANT & MAVEN.
- Experience working with IDE tools such as Eclipse and IntelliJ
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge with the following AWS and technologies (e.g., Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, Mongo, ECS, Aurora Glue, Athena, Parquet file format)
- Experience within Financial Services or Insurance industries
