TITLE: Data Analyst II
LOCATION: Plainsboro, NJ; Hybrid – 3 days in office, 2 days remote
DURATION: 6 months
TOP SKILLS:
1. BI tool experience – Tableau or PowerBI
2. Data analytics experience
3. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Epidemiology, Statistics, Information Systems or related quantitative field
Data Analyst supports development of analytical solutions to establish the next level of analytics through building data models utilizing visualization tools. Specialist will ensure conversion of data into various insights for decision-making through identifying relevant data points for analysis, scrutinizing data to derive insights, and presenting findings through visualization.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Epidemiology, Statistics, Information Systems or related quantitative field with 3 years of relevant experience is required. A master’s degree or PhD can be considered as a substitute for 2 years of professional experience.
- Demonstrated understanding of reports and data visualizations (e.g., charts, dashboards, heat maps)
- Comprehensive understanding of data management, data storage and data governance
- Analytical and technical proficiency at analyzing large datasets to derive insights
- Strong experience with BI tools such as Tableau or PowerBI
- Experience with SQL, Python/R, or other programming languages
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision, serving as a resource for less experienced colleagues
- Proficient in project management, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Position reports to the head of Medical Information Operations Excellence.
- Specialist works closely with the Medical Information team, IT and other cross-functional stakeholders.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Provide Medical Information Data-driven Insights
- Analyze data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Prepare and present detailed reports and data visualizations (e.g., charts, dashboards, heat maps) to aid in data storytelling.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data insights align with business objectives.
- Utilize tools and programming languages such as Tableau, Alteryx, SQL Python, and R to conduct data analysis on various databases.
2. Enhance Business Intelligence
- Apply in-depth knowledge and experience to improve existing products or services.
- Use best practices and knowledge of internal and external business practices to optimize business processes.
- Continuously monitor and refine data analysis techniques to enhance accuracy and relevance.
3. Drive Continuous Improvement
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in data analysis, AI, and machine learning techniques and their applications/usefulness for MI.
- Contribute to the development of data governance policies and practices to ensure data integrity and security.

- Physical Requirements 0-10% overnight travel required
