Title: Senior Associate Project Manager
Duration: 12 months
Location: Remote


Job Description
  • The Senior Associate Project Manager manages the end-to-end delivery of business projects.
  • Work is performed with minimal oversight and is reviewed at critical points. Uses evaluation, judgment, and interpretation to select right course of action.
  • Ensures the planning and execution of phases meet the project scope, cost, schedule and quality expectations approved by project stakeholders throughout the project's life cycle.
  • This contractor will be supporting one of the Program Managers and will be in the PMO. As manager is packaging all project details together, this contractor will be following up and managing the smaller workstreams that are short in nature
Degrees or certifications required/Years of overall experience required:
  • PMI in project delivery; this person does NOT need to have a PMP
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher and 4 years' work experience OR
  • High school diploma and a minimum 7 years of related work experience leading projects and project delivery
Top must-have technical skills and experience / Candidate Requirements:
  • Experience with MS Project ranging from Intermediate to advanced levels
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite- Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong background with Agile Project Delivery Required
  • Managing end to end workstream delivery
  • Experience managing medium to large projects, particularly within human capital management (HCM) and SaaS
  • Skilled in working across functions such as Consulting company, Stakeholders and IT and build and maintain the relationships.
  • Escalate Risk and Issues coming from the workstream
  • Does not need a PMP
Soft Skills:
  • Excellent Verbal and Written communication
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team
  • Seeks and uses objective information to analyze issues and come up with creative options
Day to Day responsibilities
  • PMO Duties
  • Coordinating status reports
  • Preparing PPT decks
  • Capturing meeting notes and follow ups
  • Collecting Data
  • Rolling up risk and issues_
  • Communicating information to the PM Lead
What will separate an average candidate vs a great candidate on a resume?
  • Workday Experience from the Business side- configurations; worked with a business or on behalf the business.
  • BUSINESS MANAGER, Not an IT Manager
  • Having worked on medium to large Transformational projects will be a differentiator.
  • Note: a transformational project takes an organization through a journey that fundamentally changes the way it functions on a day-to-day basis.
Will the contractor be working independently, or will they be collaborating with team members and/or a manager to complete tasks?
  • Both
How will performance be measured?
  • Feedback from project team and delivery of the projects: reporting for workstream; status reports; how well do they partner with program managers
