Title: Program Manager II
Duration: 6 Months
Location: Cupertino, CA 95014
Schedule: Hybrid (Tues, Wed, Thursday are onsite, Monday and Friday are remote)


Description:
  • The Watch NP CapEx EPM is responsible for coordinating equipment requirements between Engineering and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer).
  • The Watch CapEx EPM will work with new product and product ops teams to support product launch and sustaining activities.
  • The PM will work with Engineering to understand the impact of cycle time changes and be responsible for adjusting forecasts accordingly.
  • The PM will verify equipment demands from OEM and coordinate with the business team to ensure equipment is put on order and tracked to delivery.
  • The PM will coordinate with appropriate business and procurement teams to ensure support from equipment vendors regarding setup, installation, repairs and maintenance.
  • The Watch CapEx PM creates overall project budget; compiling budget requests from OEM and Quality teams and generate capitalization plan based on project schedules.
  • PM also tracks expenditures by project. 
  • A Watch CapEx PM is responsible for coordinating with cross functional partners, to ensure program equipment needs are met. 
  • Program managers are confident leaders capable of working with multi-functional teams to identify risks, explore solutions, reach consensus and execute mitigations quickly.
  • This requires an in-depth understanding of development and manufacturing process.
  • The PM must respond quickly to changes to the overall goals, schedule, and/or architecture.
  • EPMs must be fearless leaders capable of working with cross-functional teams to identify risks, explore solutions, reach consensus and execute mitigations as quickly and efficiently as possible.
  • As this requires an in-depth understanding of development and manufacturing process.
The role includes the following main duties:
  •  In this role one will drive day-to-day activities on-site to meet the overall program objectives focusing on escalations, communication and process alignment during engineering design and validation cycles for new programs as well as during production ramp. 
  • This role will also support and lead the overall guardianship of cleint's capital equipments deployed on-site.
  • Lead cross-functional communication between internal cleint's team and contract manufacturer organization.
  • Facilitate good communication and collaboration across engineering functions, operations, and vendors.
  • Create and maintain project Capex needs.
  • Offer multiple levels of status updates across a wide spectrum of individual projects to executive management.
  • Drive CM teams to maintain high traceability and usability of cleint's assets.
  • Drive CM teams to execute efficiency in equipment repair process to minimize downtime, spares and repair TAT.
  • Drive CM team to ensure on-site vendor support is adequate to support production.
  • Review capital equipment consumable spend by CM and collaborate with GSM to minimize waste.
  • Drive CM team to ensure logistics and custom clearance to ensure Equipment In House on schedule.
  • Work with new product teams to support product development activities.

  • Build overall project budget, compile budget requests, and generate capitalization plan based on project schedules.
  • Drive quote procurement and PRs for program Capex needs.
  • Respond quickly to changes to the overall goals, schedule, and/or architecture.
Education:
  • BS/BA degree in business or technical field.
  • MBA a plus.
Key Qualification:
  • Working knowledge of finance.
  • Impeccable organizational, multi-tasking, and management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written.
Additional Skills:
  •  Experience in manufacturing or test engineering is preferred.
