Description:
The ideal candidate for the Clinical Supply Chain Senior Associate role will have prior experience in clinical supply chain or a related supply chain function, with a strong emphasis on vendor management, logistics oversight, and quality compliance. They should be proficient in managing clinical shipments globally, ensuring timely delivery without patient dosing impact, and maintaining quality records and SOP adherence within a QMS system (ENG QMS preferred). Strong communication and time management skills are essential, as the role involves coordinating with suppliers, handling multiple priorities, and addressing urgent issues efficiently. While a bachelor’s degree with at least two years of supply chain experience is required, a supply chain, logistics, or life sciences degree is preferred. Candidates with ERP system experience (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and a background in downstream logistics will be given priority.

- Daily management of assigned Logistics Service Provider (LSP’s) and active handling all issues and developments
- Maintain detailed knowledge on LSP operations.
- Maintain excellent relationship with LSP/TSPs on facility and partner level, making sure Amgen’s interests are served to the maximum.
- Maintain and manage agreements with LSP and actively review periodically.
- Escalate LSP audit findings if auditors have issues getting acceptable responses.
- Develop and maintain department SOPs and other controlled documents on LSP/TSP management.
- Liaise with global counterparts, relevant departments, and networks to ensure global alignment on LSP management.
- Own quality records related to LSP activities- Metrics and performance monitoring reports.
- Manage other projects as assigned

- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, business administration or life science and 5 years of experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry
- Knowledge of clinical supply chain management
- Experience in using ERP systems, i.e., SAP.
- Result focused and proven ability to deliver results.
- Independent self-starter, able to work autonomously, under pressure and in teams.
- Experience managing suppliers and improving processes.
- Quick process understanding, insight and visualizing.
- Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Problem solver with strong sense of responsibility
Red Flags:
- Poor communication with stakeholders, neglecting supplier relationship management, inability to manage complex data and quality records.
- Job Hopping – Multiple roles lasting only 1-2 months without clear justification.
- Poor Communication Skills – The role requires regular supplier communication and cross-functional collaboration.
- Inability to Manage Complex Data & Quality Records – Candidates must be comfortable handling quality documentation and reporting.
