Job Description

Job Title: Lab Technician II
Duration: 8 Months
Location: Cupertino, CA (Onsite)
 
Description: 
  • In this role as a lab technician, you will set up and manage a large-scale hardware rack testing environment for various firmware projects.
  • You will be managing a myriad of devices and fixtures which run on these device clusters.
  • You are expected to provide physical in-lab support to enable automated system testing on these racks.
  • You will work with the firmware and hardware engineering teams in setting up the test hardware configurations.
  • You will also work with test automation team in trouble-shooting test environment issues and in improving lab automations. 
 
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 2 years of building and managing lab with devices. 
  • Technical support experience or equivalent working knowledge in computer hardware and networking.
  • Experience in managing MacOS and iOS devices.
  • Experience in automating device management using Python, bash and Ansible.  
  • Strong in diagnosing and resolving system and user-level issues in MacOS, iOS or Linux.
  • A team-player in nature with good communications and documentations skills.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Work with customers and colleagues to identify and fix issues with hardware setups.
  • Provide problem solving steps to resolve issues easily and effectively.
  • Able to help assemble custom test fixtures.
  • Creative problem solver able to figure out ways to get things done quickly, efficiently, and professionally.
