Job Description:
We are seeking an exceptional Senior Applied Data Scientist specializing in computer vision and image-based data to drive innovation within our pharmaceutical R&D division. You will be at the forefront of developing, fine-tuning, and optimizing advanced Computer Vision (CV), Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), and Generative AI models to enhance clinical and aesthetic programs. This role is a balance of research and practical application, working with emerging AI technologies to create cutting-edge solutions for image analysis in healthcare and life sciences.
What You’ll Do:
• Lead and innovate AI-driven projects involving Computer Vision, Generative AI for images, and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Develop and fine-tune CNNs, SSM, and other deep learning models to enhance image processing in pharmaceutical applications.
• Research and implement state-of-the-art AI techniques to optimize model accuracy, speed, and robustness.
• Optimize LLM and CV frameworks for efficiency and scalability.
• Develop advanced ensemble models using fine-tuning and prompt engineering techniques.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI-driven solutions into existing workflows.
• Stay updated with emerging AI trends and apply new methodologies to advance company research.
• Mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.
Who You Are (Required Skills)
• MSc or PhD in Data Science, Machine Learning, AI, or a related field.
• 7+ years of industry experience in machine learning, computer vision, or related areas.
• Strong expertise in Computer Vision, CNNs, SSM, and Generative AI for images.
• Expert proficiency in Python and familiarity with Postgres databases.
• Experience working in a Linux environment and with cloud platforms like AWS.
• Solid understanding of ML model evaluation, optimization, and deployment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for AI-driven solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to innovate, solve complex problems, and contribute to AI advancements in pharma.
Bonus Points For:
• Additional experience in LLMs and their applications in AI-driven pipelines.
• Prior work in healthcare, biotech, or pharmaceutical AI applications.
• Experience with multi-modal AI systems integrating text and image processing.
