Job Title: Support Engineer
Duration: 11 Months
Location: Open to Remote – need to be local in Sunnyvale, CA (Bay Area) to come in office if needed
Top 2 Skills required:
Experience in supporting critical systems – understand changes in production systems
Basic deployment experience and making changes through pipeline/various stages.
Job Description
Key job responsibilities
• Troubleshoot and diagnose software issues – On call support as needed / supporting customer time zones as needed.
• Resolve technical problems in a timely and efficient manner
• Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of product documentation and features
• Document and track customer and system issues
• Provide feedback to the development team on product issues and support in implementation of potential improvements
• Automate manual tasks and workflows
• Stay up-to-date on the latest software releases and updates
• Migrate existing AWS solutions from AWS Console into packaged and automated DevOps pipelines (infrastructure as code, implementing CI/CD practices and automated unit testing)
• In addition, the SE will maintain the pipelines to keep it healthy, and drive other core support engineering and CCI initiatives.
Qualifications:
• BS Degree in computer science or combination of education and relevant experience.
• 4+ years relevant work experience.
• Experience scripting in modern program languages
• Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
• Experience in agile/scrum or related collaborative workflow
• Experience troubleshooting and documenting findings
• Knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating system
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Knowledge of distributed applications/enterprise applications
• Experience analyzing and troubleshooting RESTful web API calls
