Job Description

Title: Benefits Project Manager (Hybrid)
Duration: 12 Months
Location: North Chicago, IL 60064 (3 days onsite/2 days remote)
 
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Benefits Project Manager to lead a critical project establishing and managing the successful completion of open enrollment and a major vendor transition. This role requires a deep understanding of benefits, particularly retirement plans, and the ability to manage large-scale projects with multiple stakeholders, the ability to manage multiple priorities, communicate effectively with a client-centric focus, develop effective solutions, and closely monitor open projects to closure.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support coordinating the project to transition to a new benefits administrator, ensuring seamless implementation and minimal disruption to employees.
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Overseas the development of testing plans, executes the testing plans, adheres to project timelines, and provides input into strategic decisions.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Collaborate with the Global Benefits Director and Director of Retirement Plans to drive efficiencies and improved outcomes. Serve as a key conduit between the Benefit Directors and PMO Office.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and requirements.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks.
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in benefits management, with a strong focus on retirement benefits.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
  • PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
