Job Description

Location: Arecibo, PR

Summary:
This position is responsible for providing a wide variety of facility maintenance services to the company.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain all assigned areas of the facilities in satisfactory condition at all times. (Weight:25%)
  • Conduct setup for conference rooms and other events. (Weight:5%)
  • Respond as a backup for certain facility emergencies.
  • Must be a member and trained on Emergency Response Practices. (Weight:15%)
  • Performs work related to painting, patching, repairs and other tasks related to the physical appearance of the infrastructure and equipment of the complete site (both inside and outside Building scopes).
  • Performs landscaping and other grounds maintenance on the site. (Weight:25%)
  • Acts as support of the Facilities Technical Team while performing mechanical, electrical work and minor alterations in the building. (Weight:10%)
  • Coordinate with outside contractors and vendor’s miscellaneous work related to the scope mentioned above. (Weight:5%)
  • Ensure compliance with all Abbott procedures and all applicable regulatory agency requirements. (Weight:10%)
  • Other duties as assigned. (Weight:5%)
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Minimum 3 years in the Facilities Building, Ground and Aesthetics scope, both inside and outside Buildings in the Pharmaceutical or Medical Device Industry.
  • Good verbal and written communications skills (English and Spanish).
  • Must have good Mechanical aptitude.
  • Minimum 50 lbs. lifting requirement.
