Ideal Candidate: 1 year of hands on experience in a lab environment. M.S. is preferred, B.S. is acceptable. No PHD candidates.
Skills: General lab experience, protein knowledge required.
Nice to have: UPLC experience, hands on experience with proteins. UF & DF experience

Summary:
Based at "" headquarters in Thousand Oaks, CA, this role in Pivotal Drug Product Technologies will be to provide support of drug product formulation and process development of biologics. The candidate will work closely with a team of engineers and scientists responsible for the technical aspects of "" drug product commercialization and lifecycle management.

Responsibilities will include:
Participate in the planning, design, execution, and documentation of studies related to drug product formulation and process development in support of commercialization and life cycle management of biologics.
Support and conduct related studies, e.g. UF/DF, filtration, freeze/thaw and fill/finish, for products in various formulations and formats (liquid, lyophilized, etc.).
Evaluate process and product performance through analytical testing via measurement of pH, conductivity, osmolality, protein concentration, HPLC and CE methodologies, solid state characterization, particle quantitation/characterization, physical properties, etc.
Data analysis and documentation/review in electronic notebooks.
Author, review, and data verify technical documents such as protocols, reports, regulatory documents, etc.
Clearly and consistently communicate data in progress reports and presentations.
Participate in cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment to progress product development.
Adhere to all training, compliance, and safety guidance.
Support lab operations and inspections as required of all lab-based staff.
Work primarily onsite with remote work as appropriate to role and tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Materials Science, or related discipline.
2+ years of relevant lab experience.
Understanding of physical/chemical stability of proteins.
Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with procedures and policies.
Proficient computer skills.
Self-motivation, adaptability and a positive attitude.
Critical thinking, problem solving, and independent research skills.
Good organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
Excellent communication (oral and written).

Day to Day Responsibilities:    
Tasks will include participating in various trainings to stay updated with the latest techniques and protocols. Prepping the workstations will be necessary to ensure that all equipment and materials are ready for use. Executing the study will involve conducting experiments and gathering data.
Recording data in real-time in an electronic notebook is crucial for maintaining accurate and up-to-date records. Data analysis and writing reports will be required to summarize findings. Data verification of various documents will be another important task to ensure the integrity and accuracy of the information.
Additionally, maintaining certain lab equipment will be essential to ensure everything is functioning properly and safely. This comprehensive set of responsibilities will help ensure the smooth operation of the lab and the success of projects.
    
Basic Qualifications    
1+ Years w/ Relevant MS OR equivalent 3+ Years w/ Relevant BS OR equivalent Complete understanding and use of technical principles, theories, and concepts to perform a wide range of work in a role.

Top 3 Must Have Skill Sets:    
Lab Experience: Hands-on experience in a laboratory setting is crucial. This includes familiarity with lab equipment, techniques, and safety protocols.
Work in a Team: The ability to collaborate and work well within a team is essential. This involves effective communication, cooperation, and the ability to contribute to group projects.
Communication: This includes drafting technical reports, presenting study objectives and results, and facilitating discussions.
