Summary:
- The Integrated Marketing Strategy team works on complex, integrated marketing campaign development and support internal clients and business partners to ensure marketing strategies deliver results based on business objectives.
- The Integrated Marketing Director, Strategy helps to develop and implement the strategy and execution for integrated marketing campaigns to achieve successful business outcomes.
- Collaborates with business marketing strategy leads, channel leads, planning partners and project management to develop and manage fully integrated marketing campaigns in all channels including digital, content marketing, web, video production and social (paid and organic).
- This job manages others.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for developing creative briefs grounded in insights and to provide thought starters to the creative teams.
- Shares creative briefs with key channel partners to develop integrated marketing campaigns to meet the business needs. Collaborates with all marketing and channel leads to establish approach, deliverables, and desired timing for integrated campaigns.
- Provides clear, thoughtful, and strategic marketing recommendations to meet business objectives.
- Leads the execution and oversight of designated campaigns with cross functional teams in a collaborative environment, working closely with planning manager and/or project management.
- Effectively communicates to channel partners, planning managers, and project management throughout campaign development and execution.
- Uses written and verbal communication to effectively inform, brief, persuade, and summarize across all internal, external and client audiences.
- Understands brand standards and ensures compliance with brand guidelines.
- Provides clear and thoughtful feedback on creative work, inspires creative talent, and ensures outcomes are grounded in approved strategies.
- Provides new ideas based on thorough understanding of business objectives.
- Provides strategic and thoughtful input to planning managers in developing and establishing integrated marketing campaigns.
- Responsible for providing thoughtful and strategic input into the development of content.
- Ensures that overall budgets and timelines are realistically set and attained.
- Advises partners on priorities and trade-offs based on budget and logistical limitations and/or makes recommendations on additional/alternative resources.
- Is knowledgeable about advertising and media platforms and trends.
- Effectively communicates with all constituents (bottom up and top down).
Qualifications/Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience in advertising, marketing, or related field.
- Strong account management skills and working knowledge of project management.
- Deep understanding of digital marketing and digital advertising platforms, including digital, web, video production, field marketing, paid media, and social media.
- Strong computer skills; expert knowledge Excel and PowerPoint.
- Proven track record working with and managing multiple clients and internal teams working on marketing campaigns and creative development.
- Able to successfully work in a matrix organization.
- Proven ability to build and lead strong internal team/client relationships and effectively motivate teams.
- Excellent organizational ability with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task assignments.
- Strong analytic skills and ability to make sound decisions.
- Strong oral, written and presentation skills.
- Models the way by setting a personal example of what is expected of others; follows through on promises and commitments; asks for feedback; builds consensus.
- Demonstrates initiative and has a “can-do, whatever it takes to get it done” attitude, and be a team player.
- Ability to influence at multiple levels of the organization.
- Ability to exhibit courage and conviction.
- Minimum of 1 year of leadership or team lead experience.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
