Job Description

Title: Business Analyst
Location: Columbia, SC (
Partial onsite - 3 days onsite per week and as needed)
Duration: 12+ months


Position Purpose:
Supports business perspective processes for IT clients in Line of Business (LOB) and the Enabling Processes with a consultative mindset.
Solves technical business problems and delivers business insights driven by analysis.
Provides end customers with recommendations and partnering on next steps.
Ensures correctness of analysis, and reports findings in a concise manner to senior management.

30% Responsible for day-to-day operational tasks, training, project management, and data analysis to include reporting, designing, coding, or maintaining databases.  Prioritizes initiatives to meet time constraints and adjust to business conditions.  Manages assigned project tasks, and negotiates deadlines based on requirements.  30% Facilitates communication issues with stakeholders at all levels to foster relationships that promote building trust throughout the organization.  Leads meetings and provides the appropriate level of detail to technical and non-technical audiences.  Trains customers on reports and dashboards while providing them self-service solutions.  Presents data and analysis in a clear and concise manner to drive business recommendations that are supported by data.  20% Stays abreast of the latest trends, capabilities, functionality, and other features and technology.  Innovates creative ways to incorporate relevant features in reporting solutions.  Creates interactive analytical tools and dashboards to deliver operational and financial performance insights.  Learns new tools and skills to troubleshoot issues.  Applies scalable tools and analytical techniques to respond to business questions.  Documents processes, assumptions, and criteria for solutions.  20% Translates findings, uses visuals, and creates presentations to communicate business insights.  Works with customers to gather business requirements and conducts business analysis.  Evaluates information from various sources, resolves conflicts, and compiles data and analyses to drive business decision making capabilities.

What You'll Do:

Required Education: Bachelors in a job related field or Associate's and 2 year job related work experience or 4 years work related experience

Required Work Experience: 6 years in organizational development, business analysis, process improvement (e.g. six sigma and reengineering), corporate/strategic planning, financial analysis, or business systems analysis.

Required Skills and Abilities:
• Strong organizational, customer service, communications, consultative mindset, and analytical skills.
• Advanced experience using complex mathematical calculations and understand mathematical and statistical concepts.
?• Knowledge of relevant computer support systems.

Required Software and Other Tools: Expert level skills in at least one of the following: Excel, Tableau, PowerBI, Access, SQL, and Python
Highly Preferred - A financial or finance background. Experience working with stakeholders and business partners throughout various projects
