Job Description:

  • The Global Programming Strategy team owns the strategic perspective on the Video’s original and licensed content programming, optimizing the service's offering to drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention. 
  • The team’s work is rooted in a deep understanding of customers around the world, as well as the business opportunity that each distinct audience represents for the Video. 
    In success, the team guides internal decision-making around the content slate, release strategy, in-app experience, and more in a way that ultimately matches the Video content offering to its most promising audience opportunities.
 
The Global Programming Project/Program Manager IV will:
  • Develop data-driven audience and portfolio insights that enable us to better serve new and existing customers, then leverage these insights to identify the Video’s programming needs
  • Support strategy leaders in portfolio and title programming strategy across the full content lifecycle, highlighting our audience and content needs across a multi-year horizon
  • Author business documents that communicate the state of our business and/or recommend new initiatives
 
Day to day: 
  • Develop data-driven audience and portfolio insights that enable us to better serve new and existing customers, then leverage these insights to identify the Video’s programming needs
  • Support strategy leaders in portfolio and title programming strategy across the full content lifecycle, highlighting our audience and content needs across a multi-year horizon
  • Author business documents that communicate the state of our business and/or recommend new initiatives
  • Looking at what titles they have on the video and seeing what is needed. Looking to replace titles with new ones to meet a certain demographic or genre need. 
  • Look into new genres to invest in and write documents to review the merits of the types of programs with leadership
 
Basic qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in business, finance, marketing or entertainment fields. Finance or strategy background preferred. 
  • Extensive experience leading data driven programs/projects with high impact
  • Excellent quantitative skills and strong experience with modeling and data analyses
  • Advanced MS excel 6+ years
  • MS Office - PowerPoint 6+ years
 
Preferred qualifications
  • Passion for content; prior experience in the media/entertainment industry is a plus
  • Exceptional ability to collaborate, earn trust of stakeholders, and work cross-functionally
  • Exceptional ability to understand and discuss creative, business, and technical concepts, manage trade-off decisions, and evaluate strategic ideas
  • Meets/exceeds Clients leadership principles requirements for this role
