Location: Toronto, ON (1 day in office)
Duration: 6+ Months (Possible Extension)
Day-to-day:
Is this a project or support / daily work:
- Not assigned to one specific project. 300-400 intakes a year for project request. 75% small and medium range project. Week long work to 6 months of work and this is the bulk of what they will be working on / the team works on.
- So they will need to go speak with an individual/team. The groups they normally deal with is finance, & treasury. They need to understand what that team is trying to do. Then the job gets more technical.
- Before this goes to the Dev team, they need to figure out where data is. Use an SQL Developer to go through the different tables and understand where the data is. Basically, the BA by the time they are done, they have high level query written and they hand it off to the dev team and then the dev team builds it. But then the BA job becomes more testing and working with the team to see if it works.
Must Haves:
- Usually, people that have experience in P&L (profit and loss), reporting side and now they want a tech challenge do very well.
- Need to have capital market experience and understand the end to end flow within cap markets
- They have tried people from wealth and retail and sometimes it works. Typically, they would need to have worked heavily in operations and P&L
Tech skills:
- SQL
- spreadsheets, macros
- Write a query's
- Connect to Oracle or Greenplum data base and write a query to see data and navigate way around.
