Job Description
Job Title: Technical Writer/Slack Marketplace Support Agent
Duration: 6 Months (Possible Extension)
Location: Toronto, ON (Remote)

What you will be doing
Operational and support services for Slack Marketplace developers. Includes the following:
* Triaging incoming submissions for priority and to make sure they are prepared for review
* Answering/escalating support requests from Slack Marketplace developers
* Managing developer comms as part of routine quality/security audits
What you should have
* You sweat the small stuff and take pride in doing a good job.
* You have experience working in customer or developer support, or a similar role
* You are a strong and confident writer
* You are curious and love learning new skills and knowledge, even when it feels challenging
* You know when something is over your head and are not afraid to ask for help
* You are comfortable working as part of a team as well as independently
* You understand the web and how it works, including standard API patterns. You're not necessarily writing and deploying your own websites, but you're also not afraid of the technology and are eager to learn.
Teachable skills:
Slack's developer platform
Standard API patterns/general technical acumen
Two 1-1 interviews and writing exercise
It is a small team (4), with a fairly broad scope.

Must have skills:
- Strong, confident writing/Technical Writer
- Writing (SaaS API docs in particular) or SaaS developer/technical support experience tend to be a good fit as they are comfortable explaining technical concepts.
- However, quality writing in general (technical or not) is key as they will be working with customers via tickets primarily. Ultimately, determiners of success in the past have been curiosity, attention to detail (and the desire to do good work), and the ability to learn as they go.
- Developer/customer support experience
- Experience working as part of a distributed team
