Job Title: Chemist
Onsite – Lake County
Duration: 1 year
Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

a. Required Skill 1: Solid use of instruments including HPLC, GC, UV/VIS, MS, etc
b. Required Skill 2: Lab research experience (academic and / or industry) with proven-track record of presentations/publications

What years of experience, education, and/or certification is required? BS in Chemistry with 2-5 yrs. lab experience or Masters Degree

What is a nice to have (but not required) regarding skills, requirements, experience, education, or certification? Research presentations/publications

Experienced with and strong working knowledge of above instruments, with demonstrated strong lab skills. Excellent documentation skills, with GMP/ GLP experience. May have publications, or experience in presentation of findings to scientific organizations. (preferred but not required)

BS in Chemistry 2-5 yrs. lab experience or Masters Degree. Experienced with instruments including HPLC, GC, UV/VIS, MS, etc. Strong documentation skills, familiarity of GMP, GLP or good understanding of working in regulated environment. Able to present findings to larger groups. Strong communication skills. Lab research experience (academic and / or industry) with proven-track record of presentations/publications (preferred but not required).

Requirements:
• BS/BA in Chemistry, Chemical Engineer, Biochemistry, Medical Technology, Biology or related field with minimum 2-5 yrs lab experience (pharmaceutical industry preferred) or Masters Degree.
• Experienced use of analytical instruments including HPLC and chromatography data systems (i.e., Empower, Chromeleon).
• Strong documentation skills, familiarity of GMP, GLP.
• Able to present findings to larger groups.
• Strong communication skills

Responsibilities:
• Plan and execute assigned laboratory tasks utilizing standard procedures and technical understanding of various techniques to complete assigned tasks.
• Develop protocols for more complex tests or experiments performed with less defined assays and parameters.
• Apply basic computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and instrument related systems.
• Presents conclusions of defined experiments.
• Ensures safety and GxP requirements are met when performing tasks.
• Ensures timely and GxP compliant delivery of high quality precise data
