Job Description
Position Title: Associate Account Executive
Work Location: Mettawa, IL (Hybrid – 3 days onsite / 2 remote)
Assignment Duration: 6 months (Possible extension based on performance and business needs)
Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 3 days onsite / 2 remote
Position Summary:
- Acts as the main liaison between the Ad Agency and brand teams, overseeing daily agency-client relationships.
- Works closely with creative teams and external partners to provide strategic guidance that supports sales and brand objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s or equivalent experience desirable).
- Experience in a pharmaceutical ad agency or in-house agency preferred.
- Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred (U.S. and Global).
- Strong communication skills – verbal, written, and presentation.
- Energetic, organized, and positive individual comfortable in high-visibility roles.
- Ability to handle high-volume project scopes in fast-paced creative environments.
- Great collaborator, able to balance big-picture thinking with attention to detail.
- 1–4 years of total account management experience preferred.
Top 3–5 Must-Have Skills:
- Digital marketing background – Familiarity with tools, apps, and pharma-specific digital solutions.
- Ability to think strategically and provide solutions to meet marketing objectives.
- Deep understanding of Agency Workflow Process – from project kickoff to archiving.
- Strong prioritization and multitasking skills for effective workload management.
- Detail-oriented – Handles multiple products, tasks, and clients simultaneously.
- Proven success in relationship building and account growth.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Prior pharmaceutical marketing knowledge, including:
- Product attributes, market dynamics, target audience, compliance/regulations.
- Understanding of medical/legal/regulatory considerations.
Primary Function / Objectives:

Project / Process Management:
- Collaborate on project briefs with brand teams.
- Recommend key promotional tactics aligned with brand goals.
- Issue client contact reports to maintain visibility and alignment.
- Monitor creative development from concept through completion.
- Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of all projects.
- Develop annual forecasts and conduct monthly reconciliations.
- Daily time tracking is required.
Accountability & Scope:
- Reports to: Ad Agency Account Manager.
- Collaborates with: Creative team and external suppliers.
- Responsible for: Tactical execution, budget compliance, and process adherence.
- Ensures alignment with all company-wide financial and compliance policies.
