Infrastructure Audit Preparation and Oversight Principal
 
Position Overview:
The Infrastructure Audit Preparation and Oversight Principal is a key position within the Global Infrastructure Risk and Control team, guiding the preparation of Infrastructure teams in anticipation of an internal audit and advising during the audit. This position is will be the regional leader supporting the Infrastructure Pre-Audit Assessment Team (iPaaT) for global audits and primary lead providing similar support for reginal audits.  The iPaaT team performs current state assessments of the area under review in alignment with industry best practices (e.g., gain an understanding, testing), identifies potential gaps and supports the documentation/remediation of those gaps. In addition, the iPaaT team provides risk-minded guidance and support the teams undergoing to Audits to minimize negative outcomes. The position will report to regional and global management while supporting audit preparation in both.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the regional Infrastructure Pre-Audit Assessment (iPaaT) team and support staff in execution of the defined objectives.
  • Drive improvement of the teams being reviewed and the local teams processes.
  • Support weekly reporting on current state of on-going assessments and present status to Infrastructure leadership.
  • Principal will have to have the ability to successfully manage teams global and regional objectives, staff and scope with minimal oversight.
  • Provide strategic thinking, thought leadership, and guidance on identifying key risks and assessing the design and operating effectiveness of the process and controls supporting the Infrastructure towers.
  • Establish strong working relationships and communications with key stakeholders globally.
  • Ensure that meetings are effective and deliverables are issued accurate, complete, and provided timely to stakeholders.
  • Work with Global and Regional counterparts to develop and execute on assessment schedule to ensure coverage based on upcoming audits.
 
Qualifications:
  • Proven audit leader with 10+ years of Internal Audit experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in Financial Services.
  • Experience effectively managing teams of 2 or more audit staff.
  • Solid understanding of financial services regulations, risks and controls.
  • Internal Audit or Risk related Certification (CSIA, CIA, CRISK, etc.) a plus.
  • Internal Audit experience working at Big4 is a plus.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter who deals well with ambiguity and can drive execution.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, leadership and organizational skills are required.
  • Proven ability to build relationships, influence and motivate teams across the organization in order to ensure that the slate of work is established, understood, supported and completed.
  • Ability to challenge and influence stakeholders of differing viewpoints to reach consensus.
