Job Title: Marketing Project Manager Specialist, Financial Technology Duration: 15 Months with possible extension Location: Toronto, ON M5J 2V5 (Hybrid)
Job Summary
Client is looking to hire a Marketing Project Manager to support its newly formed Financial Technology business. This is an exciting opportunity to help build, nurture and grow a revenue-generating marketing function inside a new business with a $1B solutions revenue profile and a global client footprint of over 3,500 financial institutions in 70+ countries, backed by a strong, globally-respected brand.
The role will be responsible for partnering closely with the Financial Technology Marketing leadership team, reporting to the Global Head of Marketing, to provide strategic support, facilitate communication and collaboration, drive operational efficiency, and ensure the successful execution of key initiatives within the marketing organization. You will be an essential partner to the team, playing a pivotal role in enabling the achievement of departmental goals and driving the overall success of our marketing efforts.
Your role and responsibilities You are an expert at project management and strategic collaboration, with experience in bringing plans and actions to life. You are familiar with general marketing strategies and ideally have a demonstrated history of marketing projects that you have successfully executed.
Operational Excellence: Implement and oversee operational processes, systems, and frameworks to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and enhance the overall effectiveness of the Marketing organization. Identify areas for process optimization and help drive initiatives to achieve operational excellence.
Rhythm of Business: Support planning and execution of core communication initiatives including meetings, Offsites and Workshops, in addition to driving special projects and global alignment. Assist the Global Head of Marketing and other team members with various administrative tasks, such as budget planning, providing necessary preparation documents, participating in monthly/quarterly reviews, and more.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Foster effective collaboration and communication between the Financial Technology marketing functions and with Enterprise Marketing. Coordinate cross-functional projects, initiatives, updates and meetings to ensure alignment and successful execution of strategic objectives. Use our project management system to delegate tasks, create schedules for marketing teams, generate reports, etc.
Performance Monitoring: Help coordinate inputs across the Marketing disciplines to ensure timely delivery of reporting workflows bi-weekly, monthly and quarterly and provide quality control with context to assure global alignment and readiness for executive level audiences.
Project Management: Support definition of project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables of key projects and initiatives inside the Financial Technology Marketing organization. Coordinate resources, manage dependencies, and ensure successful project execution.
You will need the following skills and experience
4-7 years project management experience, preferably in the marketing and communications discipline of a B2B technology organization or financial services industry;
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a strong sense of urgency and follow-through
Ability to juggle multiple projects at once in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment;
Resourceful self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity and able to create and implement process to mitigate ambiguity that may exist in new spaces;
Energetic, friendly, and self-motivated attitude’
Collaborative spirit to work with all internal and external stakeholders to gain consensus and clarity
Strong executive presence and ability to articulate results concisely and effectively to leadership;
