Job Title: Marketing Localization Program Manager Duration: 7-Month Contract (through January 31, 2027) Location: Preferred in Seattle, WA or San Francisco, CA.
Note: Hybrid environment with a preference for onsite collaboration approximately twice per week. Remote candidates may be considered for the right experience and background.
Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Marketing Localization Program Manager who will drive production of our localized content to our international markets. The ideal candidate should understand localization principles, have functional proficiency in localization tools and software platforms, and experience in localization program management, preferably within a marketing organization.
Core Responsibilities: Project Planning and Coordination.
Execute and oversee digital content localization projects from initiation to completion.
Manage timelines and milestones, and track progress against established goals.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams including content creators, translators, developers, and marketing specialists.
Stakeholder Communication.
Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders regarding project status, updates, and challenges.
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among internal stakeholders and global teams.
Continuous Improvement.
Identify opportunities and voice ideas for localization process optimization and efficiency improvements within the localization workflow.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in digital content localization.
Technical Proficiency.
Practical understanding and familiarity of localization tools and software platforms
Quality Assurance.
Coordinate with our agency partners to deliver on-time and on budget.
Collaborate with our in-house language managers to maintain high standards of localization accuracy and consistency.
Requirements:
3+ years of localization program management experience, Marketing localization experience is a huge plus.
2+ years of professional experience using SDL WorldServer or Smartling
Experience working with international and cross-functional teams
Highly proven project management skills including scope management, resource planning, risk assessment, task tracking, and budget management.
Familiarity with multimedia localization.
Experience of working with PM tools (e.g., Asana).
Results-oriented, can-do attitude.
Thrives in a creative, fast-paced environment and works well under pressure.
Excellent communication and presentation skills and able to set expectations across international and US teams.
Expert user of spreadsheet tools.
Fluent in at least 2 languages.
