Position Summary Provides internal program and project management expertise in process improvement and standards management. Primary conduit between enterprise program management and information technology. Plans, performs and implements program management standards related initiatives. Organizes, leads, coordinates and facilitates cross-functional project teams. Develops metrics that provide data for standard adoption measurement and identifies indicators for future improvement opportunities.
Job Responsibilities
Responsible for developing and implementing project management standards and processes by collaborating with the enterprise program management team. Assess the applicability of enterprise project management to Information Technology. Responsible for developing and executing on change management plans
Proficient in establishing program and project management community of practice/project management center of excellence.
Develops and maintains productive stakeholder, team, and leadership relationships and provides program management process improvements recommendations; provides thought leadership and consultation on program management standards; facilitates working sessions related to project management standards; researches, recommends process improvement based on industry best practices. Works directly with enterprise and IT leadership.
IT Process and Program Standard Management Lead's Assignments are broad and highly complex and impact multiple in-flight initiatives, have major associated risks with high visibility, and can be sensitive or widely varied requiring expert judgment in applying and adapting techniques.
Responsible for actively resolving the most complex technology needs of the business unit with a focus on the analysis of processes-dissecting problems and suggesting solutions. Creates and recommends process and standards plans for projects or modifying existing plans. Develops, communicates, and enforces process and standards policies and procedures; helps to create technical change management processes and documentation; assists the business to mature its processes; identifies and analyzes root causes using supporting tools
Manages and coordinates highly complex process and standards solutions for internal stakeholders. Participates in continuous review and update to ensure that standards meet changing business unit conditions. Influences and facilities the optimization of business unit performance. Identifies processes for improvement, documents existing processes, identifies and analyzes gaps between current processes and the desired state, designs new processes, develops process performance measures and plans the transition to a new process.
This is a principal level position whereby the incumbent acts as a senior authority in their functional area for large multi-project programs or departments. Incumbent is highly skilled in industry best practice and contributes to development of broad strategies and enterprise-wide endeavors.
Works on special projects related to process and standards audits, compliance, and/or remediation. Acts as a process and standards management lead on matrix project teams. Acts as mentor to other specialists
Qualifications Minimum:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
Experience in IT-Information Technology business process, 8 years
LSS-Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification
PMP from PMI
SAFe Agilist
Desired:
ITIL-Information Technology Infrastructure Library Foundation certification
Experience in PPM Tool such as Planisware
