Cyber Governance / Data Protection Specialist (DCJ) 6 Months Assignment Toronto ON
Project: DCJ refresh program They are required by regulators to perform, DCJ refresh every 3 years. There is a number of applications in banks portfolio (15000+). Reassess the DCJ (70-80) and basically confirm if they are DCJ or not.
Reassessment: Reach out to application owners and understand what the application is. What information does it store PAI (personal information), financial transactions. Then run BIA (Business impact assessment) to calculate if the application goes over the threshold for a specific criteria or not Confirm or change the DCJ designation in the book of record and collect evidence. - explain why they made the decision cause work is audited Some of the applications were performed years ago by different team so can't rely on that anymore They are not in operation they are in governance (compliance and security frameworks - sit between regulatory and tech teams)
Needs someone: Experience in HVA or DCJ. Understanding business impact, risk assessment, security controls (data addressed - addressed inscription, masking, access controls, bank up procedures, and what type of data it stores, is it cloud, is it SaaS, is it outsourced) Cyber security experience
Qualifications: • Banking experience or broad consulting experience • Working knowledge of FFIEC framework, NIST Cybersecurity framework, SOX etc. employed to enhance the IT/Cyber Control environment • Experience in Digital Crown Jewels (DCJ) or High Value Asset (HVA) assessment methodology • 1LoD experience and ability to collaborate with 2LoD and 3LoD • Application Security • Risk Assessment/Security Review • IT/Cyber Control Assessment • Working knowledge of data encryption/masking/tokenization, IAM – privileged access management (PAM) • Nice to have: knowledge of Payment systems and Payment processing
