Job Description:
  • As a Mid-Level Contentful Manager you will play a key role in designing and implementing content models that drive the presentation and delivery of content across various digital platforms and applications. Your expertise in content modeling and information architecture will be essential in ensuring that our clients' content is organized, reusable, and adaptable to evolving business need
Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
  • Reports to Director of Content Delivery
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, developers, and content creators, to understand content requirements and business objectives.
  • Design and implement content models and structures that enable the flexible and consistent presentation of content.
  • Create and manage content types, fields, and relationships in content management systems (CMS) or digital experience platforms (DXP).
  • Define and optimize information architecture to ensure that content is organized logically and intuitively for users.
  • Develop taxonomy and categorization systems to enhance content discoverability and navigation.
  • Understand how to use content models within CMS or DXP platforms, such as Drupal, WordPress, Sitecore, or Contentful.
  • Collaborate with developers to build custom content-driven features and components.
  • Implement content versioning and workflow processes to streamline content creation, editing, approval, and publishing.
  • Ensure compliance with content governance and approval policies.
  • Assist in content migration efforts, ensuring a smooth transition of content from legacy systems to modern platforms.
  • Map and transform data to align with newly designed content models.
  • Conduct content audits and quality checks to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and adherence to content models.
  • Resolve content-related issues and troubleshoot technical challenges.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for content models, information architecture, and content-related processes.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members and clients on content modeling best practices.
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into effective content structures.
  • Communicate content modeling concepts and benefits to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in content modeling, information architecture, or content strategy.
  • Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and digital experience platforms (DXP).
  • Strong knowledge of content modeling best practices and industry standards.
  • Familiarity with data modeling concepts and taxonomy development.
  • Experience with version control systems and collaborative tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Non-negotiable skills:
  • Experience with software Contentful
  • Experience with content management systems
  • Experience with working with technical developers
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Science, or a related field is required
  • (Master's degree preferred).
