Job Description

Title: Business Analyst II
Location: Fremont, CA (Onsite)
Duration: 12 months

Role Mandate:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Business Analyst to join our Data Team within the Supply Chain Operations department. In this role, you will play a key part in analyzing business processes and data related to various aspects of the supply chain, identifying opportunities for improvement, and developing data-driven solutions that enhance efficiency and effectiveness. As a Business Analyst, you will work closely with cross-functional teams and contribute significantly to our organization's success by leveraging your analytical skills and supply chain expertise.

Candidate Value Proposition:
This individual will be supporting a multi-functional data team within supply chain function of compliance program management and delivering AI solutions. The ideal candidate will support data-related projects and mainly looking at supply chain operations, workflow, efficiencies, effectiveness of tooling changes, implementations of tooling, and before and after comparisons from data. There are growth opportunities to learn all components of supply chain, warehouse management and logistics. This individual will understand how automation is applied across all processes. The team is small and there is opportunity to create a huge impact very quick, with a short turnaround time from ideation to implementation stages!

Role Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
• Conduct detailed analysis of existing supply chain operations and processes, focusing on data-related aspects such as data quality, integration, and reporting
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., procurement, logistics, manufacturing, sales) to understand their requirements and challenges, translating them into actionable insights and recommendations
• Identify areas for process improvement and develop data-driven solutions that address supply chain inefficiencies, reduce costs, or improve performance
• Support the development and implementation of new processes, systems, or data initiatives by providing business analysis input and participating in user acceptance testing
• Create comprehensive documentation outlining business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, and process flows
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supply chain data management and provide regular reports to management on the effectiveness of implemented improvements
• Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data analytics and supply chain management; recommend innovative solutions to enhance our competitive advantage
• Participate in special projects and ad hoc analysis as required

Performance Measurement:
Performance will be based on quality assessment, deliverables, feedback from peers, and deadlines on projects.

Must-Have Skills:
• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role within a supply chain environment, with a focus on data-related projects
• Experience analyzing data or using data to make a process improvement
• Relevant experience leveraging data – processing data themselves and interpreting the data
• Strong knowledge of supply chain concepts, processes, and systems (e.g., ERP, transportation management, warehouse management)
• Proficiency in data analysis, modeling, and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau) – Tableau as a visualization tool
• Portfolio of projects – building roadmaps, holding others accountable to deliver

Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Any depth in data modelling
• Project management experience and PMP certification is a plus
• Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus
• Using software like Python; ability to code
• Degree in technical field – stats, mathematics (data related)
• Supply chain background

Soft Skills:
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels
• Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Ability to drive / address conflicts – communicate blockers
• Effectively help the team with roadblocks
• Proactive

Educational Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Data Science, Business Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related fields
